Katherine Gonzalves, the 23-year-old Somerville woman who was allegedly assaulted by State Rep. Carlos Henriquez early Sunday morning in Arlington, spoke about the incident and its aftermath at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Katherine Gonzalves read a statement Wednesday afternoon at the law offices of Brody, Hardoon, Perkins and Kesten at 1 Exeter Plaza on Boylston Street in Boston and then her attorneys, Richard Brody and Leonard Kesten, answered questions.

Gonzalves, a 23-year-old Somerville woman who will be a student at UMass Boston this coming fall, was accompanied by her mother, Beatriz Mamani, of Arlington.

Not waiting for election, Senate Candidate Dooley, electtomdooley.com met Carlos and politely told him to resign, attorney would not extract him from legal situation with so many charges, and that Legislature should impeach&remove per Article VIII even if he's innocent. http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/2012/08/09/rep-carlos-henriquez-rejects-call-resign/aSTG7wmw7XGu7sQK3ZOn9O/story.html
