Arlington Selectmen Elect New Chairman

The board did so in a unanimous vote.

Steven Byrne will serve as chairman of the Arlington Board of Selectmen for the next year.

Byrne, a two-year veteran on the board, was elected by his colleagues Monday night in a unanimous vote.

Joseph Curro Jr., who was first elected with Byrne in 2012, was elected vice chairman of the board in a unanimous vote as well.

Hokey, he ran for a 2 year seat for Town Meeting instead of running as an incumbent for his 3 year seat, so may not stick around that long. It looks like becoming BoS chairmen is more to pad his political resume than staying on the BoS for a long time.
