Arlington Native Receives White House Internship

The White House announced its fall 2012 interns on Wednesday.

Arlington's Cecille Joan Avila is a White House intern this fall.

The White House announced its fall interns Wednesday, and Avila, of Emerson College, made the cut.

"The mission of the (internship) program is to make the White House accessible to future leaders around the nation and to prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities," according to the White House's release.
