Wyman Terrace Man Charged with Breaking and Entering

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

John F. Savage, 29, of Wyman Terrace, was arrested Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, at his residence and charged with felony breaking and entering.

According to police, Savage broke into a motor vehicle on Beacon Street in East Arlington earlier that day and stole a wallet. The victim chased Savage after witnessing the incident but eventually lost him, police said.

Police identified Savage by tracing the license plate of the motor vehicle that dropped him off in the area. Police said he is well known to the department from past breaking and entering and drug investigations.

Savage denied the allegations. He said a Beacon Street resident falsely accused him of the break-in so he took off.
