A woman called police at about 8:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, to report that she had just been groped at the intersection of Franklin and Warren streets.
The woman, who was visibly upset and shaken by the incident, according to police, told police that a man grabbed her buttocks while she was walking and then ran away. The man grabbed her to the extent that it hurt, she said.
The man was heavier and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black shorts and black sneakers, she said.
Police were unable to locate the suspect after an extensive search of the area.
St. Agnes School, which is a block away from where the incident was reported, sent out an alert to parents immediately after the incident.
