Shoplifting Reported at East Arlington Walgreens
Police responded to the in East Arlington at about 11:39 a.m. Monday, July 23, for a report of shoplifting.

Once there, a store employee told police that a male had just set off the sensor alarm while leaving the store and then run over to a nearby silver minivan, which was operated by a female. The minivan then took off toward Arlington Center on Massachusetts Avenue, according to the employee.
The male appeared to have merchandise in his shorts, the employee said.

The male was white, approximately 25 to 35 years old, with a slightly heavy or stocky build, thick dark brown hair and sideburns, police said. He was wearing a light gray shirt that had a darker collar and dark blue athletic shorts with one or more vertical stripes down the sides.
