Rollerblader Rolls Past Bike Path Stop Sign, Gets Hit by Pickup Truck

The crash occurred Saturday night.

A rollerblader blew past a Minuteman bike path stop sign at Water Street Saturday night and was struck by a pickup truck.

The woman attempted to avoid the truck at the last second and ended up sliding underneath it, between its tires, police said. The truck’s back tire then hit her right leg, according to witness accounts.

At the hospital, the woman told police the crash was “totally her fault.” She said she went through the stop sign at a “high rate of speed.”
