Robber Leaves Court Street Man Bloody

The man was attacked Tuesday night in the woods between Town Hall and the Robbins Library.

Police responded to a Court Street residence at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, to investigate a possible assault.

Upon arrival, officers found a ‘pool of blood’ on the front porch and a man inside bleeding from the face and head.

The man told police he knew the man who assaulted him.

He said he was walking on Mass. Ave. when he heard the suspect call his name. The suspect then asked to use his cell phone and, after walking to the wooded area between Town Hall and the Robbins Library, began punching him repeatedly, he told police. The suspect then took off with his cell phone, he said.

The man was transported to Winchester Hospital, police said.
