Reports: Two Men Rescued from Spy Pond After Boat Capsizes

The incident occurred late Friday night.

Two men were rescued from Spy Pond late Friday night after their boat had capsized, according to police scanner reports.

The men, who were brought to shore by Arlington Police and Fire personnel at about 10:27 p.m., had been in the water for approximately 40 minutes, according to the reports. Emergency crews were notified to the situation after residents heard the men yelling from the water, the reports stated.

Both of the men were hypothermic and intoxicated, one of them was caught in his own fishing line and rod, according to the reports.
