Police Respond to Starbucks After Man Asks to Take Girls Photo

The man told the girls he wanted to post the photo on Facebook.

Police were called to the Arlington Center Starbucks Monday afternoon after customers became concerned when a man asked to take a photo of two girls and post it on Facebook.

The customer who reported the incident said the man first asked the two 12-year-old girls how old they were and then asked to take their photo so he could post it on Facebook.

At this time, roughly 3:10 p.m., this customer and others told the man that he was being inappropriate and asked him to leave the coffee shop, which he did.

The suspect, who was still outside when police arrived, told police that he just likes to blog about his day and his interactions with people. He said he meant no harm, according to police.

The man never said anything sexual in nature and never asked the girls to leave with him, police said.
