Police Log: Three More Outdoor Fires Over the Weekend

Incidents and arrests in Arlington from Friday to Monday, April 13-16.

Three More Outdoor Fires Over the Weekend

Arlington emergency personnel responded to three more outdoor fires over the weekend, .

It is not yet known if the fires, some of which appear to be intentionally started, are connected, according to police.

At about 4:25 p.m. on Friday, April 13, police and fire crews responded to Ridge Street for a report of dry leaves and brush on fire. At about 11:10 p.m. Sunday, April 15, crews responded to the parking lot where they found a small jacket on fire, and at about 6:16 p.m. Monday, April 16, they responded to on Massachusetts Avenue for a small fire at the edge of the property.

All three fires were quickly extinguished. An arson investigator was called to the Ridge Street fire.

 

Underage Drinking at Hill’s Hill

Several students were found to be in possession of alcohol at about 6:45 p.m. Friday, April 13, at .

The teens had 29 Budweisers, five Rolling Rocks and two 40-ounce bottles of St. Ides Malt Liquor, according to police.

Bicycle Crash on Lake Street

A bicyclist told police that he fell off his bike at about 8:24 a.m. Friday, April 13, on Lake Street after a pickup truck’s trailer made contact with his left peddle.

The driver of the pickup stopped to make sure that the bicyclist was OK. The bicyclist did hurt his right knee but only needed a bandage.
