Officers responded to the area of 22 Brattle Street at 3:41 p.m. on March 7 for a report of vandalism. Officers met with the reporting party who said that her vehicle was parked in the lot across the street. When police investigated the car they found both rear tires slashed. The reporting party also pointed out that another car parked nearby had a slashed rear tire.

The reporting party told police that the suspect could be a person she had worked with in the past. The party said that in addition to being a teacher, she was also a photographer. She detailed that a person approached her last year regarding a modeling portfolio. While the woman maintained that she approached the relationship as a professional one, the other party had different ideas and grew increasingly “weird,” she said.

The woman further reported that the suspect she had in mind once left a bouquet of flowers on the hood of her car, and another time showed up to her home at midnight on her birthday. She said that she had a friend speak to the man and has not heard from him since.

Police advised the woman to be on the lookout for any suspicious characters and to advise police of any future incidents.

More Vandalism

After taking a report of slashed tired in the area of 22 Brattle Street, officer were waved down by a resident who asked if there were any reports of vandalism in the area. When police informed the man of the slashed tires, he said that he found his rear tire slashed earlier in the day.

Police asked the man if he knew of anyone who might have done it, but the only thing he could think of was an earlier incident where people were throwing rocks from a nearby bike path down into the parking lot, damaging his vehicle in the process.
