Police Log: Jewelry Stolen During Gym Class

Jewelry Stolen During Gym Class

An student reported Tuesday morning that someone had stolen six pieces of jewelry and an iPod case from her backpack during her gym class last Wednesday, May 24. The student said her backpack was underneath a locker in the locker room during the class.

Woman Shoplifts from East Arlington Walgreens

A woman in her 20s took two Fleet Suppository items and a roll of packing tape off the shelves at the East Arlington at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday and then tried to return them with an old receipt from the trash, a store employee told police.

When the employee told the woman to wait for a moment, the woman walked out of the store with the items, which would have cost $14.27. The woman was accompanied by a small boy, about 5 or 6 years old, on a bicycle.

The employee, who was unable to locate the woman outside of the store, told police that she believed she knew who the woman was.

Arlington Man Arrested on Active Warrant

John P. Morine Jr., 52, of Arlington, was arrested by Arlington Police at about 12:35 p.m. Tuesday on an active warrant.
