Police Log: Business Tagged, Street Fight, Near ID Theft

On Wednesday, the owner of 47 Dudley St., where is located, reported his property had been spray painted once again. Police noted a total of three tags, at least one containing obscene language.

The owner said he has spent a lot of money over the years to keep his property free of graffiti and he is “quite disappointed,” according to the police report. An officer assured him the would do “everything in its power to stop the destruction.”

Police Separate Fight on Summer Street

At about 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the scene of a fight on Summer Street.

The men involved later told police they had unresolved issues and that it all “boiled over” during a cab ride. The two men, who live near Summer Street, ran into each other earlier that evening and decided to split a taxi back home.

Resident Escapes Fraudulent Charges

On Thursday morning, a Menotomy Road resident reported that someone tried to buy a computer online using his credit card. The victim said an Office Max representative called to confirm if he had bought a computer for $941, which was to be shipped to Florida.

The store canceled the order upon confirmation the charges were fraudulent. 

Attempted Break-in on Milton Street

About 5 p.m. on Thursday, a Milton Street resident reported that someone had tried to break into her basement recently. The victim said the basement window was pushed open, and objects used to wedge the window shut were on the floor.

The woman said nothing appeared to be missing.
