Miscommunication Leads to Pedestrian Crash at Bike Path's Lake Street Crossing

The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. Friday.

A woman told police that a 16-year-old jogger waved her to go Friday morning at the Minuteman bike path’s Lake Street crossing. However, when she went, the jogger did so too, and she struck him at a low rate of speed in the knee, she said.

The jogger told police that he had stopped and then noticed both lanes of traffic stopped for him so he proceeded to cross.

A witness said the jogger waved to the car, the car stopped and then he crossed, but then the car accelerated rapidly and struck him.
