Patrick Barry, the 21-year-old Medford man who was recently charged with indecently assaulting an Arlington student, died Friday morning, according to a Fox 25 report.

A law enforcement source told the news station that it was determined Barry needed “emergency care” after a routine medical screening last week. He was taken to Lowell General Hospital and later died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, according to the report.

Barry was being held on $1 million cash bail from the Arlington incident on Mill Street on Tuesday, Feb. 11. He also had his bail revoked on open court cases out of Suffolk County.

Last summer, Barry, then a Northeastern University student, was charged with attacking two women in separate incidents in Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood. Barry allegedly had a knife in those attacks.

On Feb. 11, Barry allegedly came up behind a 14-year-old student, who was walking home from school, near Summer and Mill streets in Arlington and touched the student inappropriately, according to authorities.
