Man's Window Shattered While Driving on Broadway

A man was driving toward Somerville on Broadway Thursday evening when something hit his front passenger side window, causing it to shatter.

The incident occurred at about 5 p.m. near Broadway’s intersection with Warren Street.

The man said he saw two males wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts running toward Arlington Center on Broadway at the time of the incident. He said he tried to turn around to get a better description of them but was unable to locate them again.

Police were unable to find any objects in the area that might have caused the damage.

iPod Nano Reported Stolen from Melrose Street Residence

A Melrose Street resident reported at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday that someone had taken an iPod Nano from her residence sometime during the day on Tuesday. The resident believed that her maid service was responsible for the missing item.

Break-In Reported on Brooks Avenue

A Brooks Avenue resident reported at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday that someone had ransacked his home sometime that afternoon.

The home’s rear door had been forced open, he said, and multiple areas of the house had been rummaged through, including his dresser drawers, boxes and his bureau. The man said a digital camera had been taken.

The man believed he knew who did it.
