Man Grabbed, Told to Get in Car on Christmas Night

Incidents and arrests in Arlington from Tuesday, Dec. 18, to Tuesday, Dec. 25.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Man Grabbed, Told to Get in Car on Christmas Night

A man told police at about 9:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, that he was walking home from the bus stop at the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Daniels Street in Arlington Heights when an unknown male grabbed him by the arm and told him to get in a car.

The man told police that the incident had occurred about 10 minutes prior. He said after he refused, the male told him that he would only leave if he didn’t tell anyone. The male then got into a late model, black Buick and drove off, the man said.

The man described the suspect as a white male, about 30 years old, with black hair and wearing a black jacket.

He said he believed it was a random incident.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

How often do you hear about the attempted forced abduction of an adult male? Even John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer had the sense to cajole their victims. I just hope that this character doesn't start flashing a badge.
