Larceny from Arlington Center Restaurant

Police responded to in Arlington Center at about 6:36 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a recent larceny.

Once there, police heard from the Indian restaurant’s owner, who said that an unknown white male had entered the restaurant through a propped open back door and stolen some items from the employee locker room.

One employee was missing a credit card; another was missing two gold rings, a gold necklace and his passport.

One of the employees saw the suspect leaving the restaurant, and there was video surveillance footage of the suspect as well.

Arlington Woman Arrested for Assault and Battery

Barbara J. Ladny, 53, of Arlington, was arrested at about 4:13 p.m. Tuesday on Gardner Street for assault and battery on an individual over 60 or disabled and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

That's really unfortunate but after all, Arlington, like Somerville and other surrounding cities, is known for it's high crime rate and escalating drug problems so it's to be expected. Business owners and residents alike just have to be more diligent and aware of what's going on.

Arlington is a dream compared to surrounding communities. People should be very happy with that.

..sounds like you are in a dream, Freddy, if you think that. Did you just move here last week? Read the daily police reports, and those are only the ones that are published. I've lived here all my life and at one time, this town was a nice, low crime area with excellent schools , but not anymore by a longshot.

I agree that Arlington is not as bad as parts of Everett, Malden or Medford....yet.

Hey Freddy we are getting there ..... I can tell youany places in town where drug dealing is done rt out in plan day light and not a thing is done .....

Tim..are you quite sure???? This is Arlington after all, and according to "some" naive--or clueless people on Patch, this just simply doesn't happen here. LOL!
