Incidents and arrests in Arlington from Thursday to Sunday, Sept. 20-23.

Injury on the Gridiron

Emergency personnel responded to Peirce Field at Arlington High School at about 2:28 p.m. Sunday for a report of an injured football player.

The player was injured while trying to make a tackle, according to the police report. He was boarded and placed in a neck collar for precautionary reasons and transported to Boston Children’s Hospital by ambulance.

Stolen Car, Suspect Located in Chelsea

A Gardner Street woman told police at about 5:02 p.m. Sunday that a man had asked to bring her father’s car, which was for sale on Craigslist, to a mechanic to get it checked out but had never returned. The man had agreed to return the car by 1 p.m. Sunday, she said.

After Arlington Police filed a stolen motor vehicle report and notified surrounding towns, Chelsea Police soon arrested the suspect for operating the stolen car.

Apple Equipment, Watches Reportedly Taken from Lake Street Apartment

A Lake Street woman told police at about 8:21 p.m. Friday that someone had stolen $4,200 in Apple equipment and three watches, valued at $300 combined, from her home sometime during the day.

There were no signs of a forced entry, police said. The woman said she wasn’t sure if she had locked her door.

Hairbrushes, Headphones Reportedly Shoplifted from East Arlington Walgreens

A juvenile allegedly shoplifted multiple hairbrushes and a set of headphones from the East Arlington Walgreens on Thursday morning.

Police responded to the store shortly after the incident, at about 7:44 a.m., but were unable to locate the suspect.
