How Did This Happen on an East Arlington Side Street?

Find out below.

Emergency crews responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Chandler Street at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver, who was not injured, told police that he was driving the Volkswagen Passat at a slow rate of speed toward Mass. Ave. on Chandler Street when he looked down at his iPhone to try and find a nearby gas station and lost control of his vehicle.

Police believe the vehicle drifted to the left, went over the curb and then up an inclined grass area and raised tree root, causing it to flip.
