Homeless Man with Arlington Ties Arrested in New Hampshire

The man and a Concord, N.H., woman face assault charges.

Concord (N.H.) Police arrested a couple quarreling in the street in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 18, according to the arrest report.

Nathan Rae VanDyke, 23, a homeless man with former addresses in Arlington and Concord, Mass., and Kaelynn Sturtevant, 22, of Concord, N.H., were both arrested at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on Market Lane in Concord, N.H. Both VanDyke and Sturtevant were charged with simple assault (personal weapons), police said. The arrest report noted that the couple was in a relationship at the time.

VanDyke was also charged with default or breach of bail conditions, stemming from a previous arrest.

Both VanDyke and Sturtevant were arraigned in Sixth Circuit Division District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 19, and held on $2,000 cash bail.

The previous arrest for VanDyke occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 11:42 p.m., when he was arrested for possession of controlled drugs outside Concord’s Bicentennial Square. Police allege that he was in possession of a pipe with marijuana residue in it.

He was arraigned on Thursday, Aug. 30, and cash bail was set at $500.
