Home Break-In Reported on Mystic Street

Incidents and arrests in Arlington from Monday, March 11, to Thursday, March 14.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Home Break-In Reported on Mystic Street

Police responded to a Mystic Street residence at about 6:20 p.m. Monday, March 11, for a report of a recent break-in.

At the residence, the homeowners told police that they had just returned home from out of state to find that one of their doors had been pried open.

Police then searched the residence and discovered that someone had gone through the home’s bedrooms.

After assessing the situation, the homeowners said that jewelry and possibly some other items appeared to be missing.

The break-in had to have occurred sometime during the previous day, they said.

‘T-Bone’ Crash at Franklin and Warren

Police responded to the intersection of Franklin and Warren streets at about 6:21 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a “T-bone” crash with injury.

After a preliminary investigation, police believed that a man in a Nissan was crossing over Warren toward Mass. Ave. on Franklin, when a woman driving toward Broadway on Warren struck him.

The man complained of some slight side pain at the scene but refused medical attention, according to police. His passenger side airbags deployed during the crash.

The woman was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford with pain in her stomach and legs, police said. Her female passenger told police that she was not injured.

The man told police that he had stopped at the stop sign on Franklin, looked both ways and then proceeded. He said he did not see the woman’s Toyota coming because she was driving without her headlights on.

The woman told police that she did not see the man’s Nissan until it was too late.
