Gunshot Death Appears Accidental, Authorities Say

Police still investigating death of man reported to be Conor Fairbairn, 22, of Tanager Street.

The Friday gunshot death of a 22-year-old Arlington man appears to be accidental, officials said.

Arlington Police said Conor Fairbairn, of 55 Tanager St., died overnight at his home of a single gunshot wound. Preliminarily, police added, the death does not appear to be suicide.

Middlesex District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Cara O'Brien said O'Brien said the cause of death appears to have been an "accidently self-inflicted shooting."
