The top floor of an East Arlington home, possibly an attic, caught fire early this morning, according to reports.
Flames were visible through the residence’s roof shortly after 1 a.m., according to a nearby resident, Demetri Sotiropoulos, @Demetri_SSJ3 on Twitter, who took the attached photo. The fire occurred at 81 Fairmont St., which is near the intersection of Herbert Road and Fairmont.
Arlington Fire crews responded to the scene, including the department’s ladder truck, and knocked down the flames in about 15 to 20 minutes.
There did not appear to be any injuries at the scene, according to Sotiropoulos and Matthew Gregoire, @ProvFireVideos on Twitter, a breaking-news videographer who was also on scene.
