Female Grabbed by Man at Crosby Park Friday Morning

The incident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7.

A female told police Friday morning that a man had accosted her at Crosby Park.

Police responded to the park at about 9:45 a.m. There, the victim said she was walking toward the basketball court at the park while listening to music with headphones when she sensed someone standing behind her.

She said she turned around and was startled by a man who was standing there. The man said, “Hey mommy, you’re cute,” in Spanish, she told police.

The female said she called him an expletive and continued to walk. At that time, the man grabbed her by the waist and started to pull her toward him, she said. The female said she was able to break free and run off to report the incident.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

This is at least the third *reported* incident of groping in East Arlington/Arlington Center. At least two of them were in the morning. People should be concerned. What is being done to identify these perps?

Sounds eerily similar to the Esplanade attacks that had been occurring recently.

When are woman going to learn that cannot walk around alone in dangerous towns like this? It is simply too dangerous.

Arlington is crime riddled with crime . Our selectmen turn a blind eye , instead of dealing with this problem one guy is more concerned about being the Poet laureate . Arlington has turned to Chelsea with trees..

I disagree, Hokey. Chelsea is much safer than Arlington and I was born here at the former Symmes Hospital so I know what I am talking about. I'm not just some "transplant" who think they know everything but know essentially nothing about the town. I've livedhere pretty much all my life it and am acutely aware of its demise.

Oh you were born up the hill too? So wasn't i . But unlike you though I have lived here my entire life . Your right Chelsea is safer .
