Female Grabbed by Man at Crosby Park Friday Morning

A female told police Friday morning that a man had accosted her at Crosby Park.

Police responded to the park at about 9:45 a.m. There, the victim said she was walking toward the basketball court at the park while listening to music with headphones when she sensed someone standing behind her.

She said she turned around and was startled by a man who was standing there. The man said, “Hey mommy, you’re cute,” in Spanish, she told police.

The female said she called him an expletive and continued to walk. At that time, the man grabbed her by the waist and started to pull her toward him, she said. The female said she was able to break free and run off to report the incident.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
