Early Morning Scuffle in Arlington Center

A man told police that he was walking in Arlington Center with a woman at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, when another man approached them and asked him for a cigarette.

After he told the man that he didn’t have any cigarettes, the man then asked for drugs, he said. When he said he didn’t have any drugs, an altercation ensued, he said.

The man and woman then walked to Highland Hose House, where they reported the incident. The man was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge with a hand injury from the scuffle.
