Dog Kills Cat in Arlington Heights

The incident occurred Monday afternoon.

A dog killed a cat Monday afternoon near the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Waverley Street in Arlington Heights, according to police.

A woman was walking her dog near there when her dog stuck its nose in some bushes, she told police. At that time, a cat jumped out at it and they started fighting, she said.

She said she tried to break it up, and was bitten by the cat on her ring finger, but ultimately the cat died from its injuries at the scene.
