Car Runs Over Pedestrian’s Foot in Broadway Plaza Parking Lot

The incident occurred at about 4:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

A car ran over a pedestrian’s foot Saturday afternoon in the Broadway Plaza parking lot, according to police.

The female pedestrian was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge with “moderate swelling and bruising” to her foot, police said.

She was walking westbound on the Mass. Ave. sidewalk, attempting to cross Broadway, but had to weave between cars that were backed up at the Broadway crosswalk, she told police. She was struck in the lot about 10 feet in front of the crosswalk.

The driver said she was “riding her brake” at the time of the incident, as there were still two cars waiting to take a right turn onto Mass. Ave. in front of her. She said the victim walked into the driver’s side of her vehicle and she did not see the woman until she was right on top of her.
