Car Break-In Suspect Arrested

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old Arlington teen who lives on Highland Avenue was arrested at about 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, and charged with breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a felony and receiving stolen property under $250.

Police believe Henry-Thomas Y. Smith stole a laptop computer, three Red Sox tickets and a checkbook from a car on Highland Avenue the previous night.

Police took a juvenile into protective custody Thursday night who allegedly had a briefcase from the car on him. The juvenile then told police that Smith was responsible for the break-in, and police later located the tickets and checkbook in Smith’s possession.
