Burlington Man Charged with Assault and Battery, Witness Intimidation

A 50-year-old Burlington man was charged with assault and battery and witness intimidation after Arlington police responded to a domestic incident at a Decatur Street residence early Wednesday morning.

Michael J. Powers, of JoAnne Road, Burlington, was arrested at about 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to police. While heavily intoxicated, Powers allegedly ripped bracelets off of a woman during an argument and then tried to stop her from dialing 911.
