Brookline Man Charged with Assault and Battery

A Brookline man was charged with assault and battery Sunday night after an incident at a Fordham Street residence.
Police were called to the East Arlington residence at about 8:15 p.m. for a report of an unwanted guest. The resident told police that 29-year-old Tyler J. Benson, of St. Paul Street, Brookline, was intoxicated and not welcome in the home.
As police were taking Benson into protective custody due to his state and inability to drive home, he allegedly head butted the resident and was subsequently arrested.
