UPDATED: Bomb Threat in Arlington Center

UPDATE (3:25 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14)

All units have cleared the scene at American Alarm Company, 297 Broadway in Arlington Center, after no suspicious devices were found, according to Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan.

The Boston Police Department Bomb Squad responded and assisted Arlington emergency personnel in searching the building. The building has been deemed safe for occupancy, and the streets in the area have been reopened, Ryan wrote in a 3:20 p.m. email.

The incident remains under investigation by the Arlington Police Department. The original threat came in via telephone at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, he wrote.

American Alarm Company received a bomb threat Saturday, Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan wrote in a 2:10 p.m. email.

Police and fire personnel are on scene and the area of Broadway and Franklin Street in Arlington Center is currently blocked off.

American Alarm Company is at 297 Broadway. The building has been evacuated and the Boston Police Department Bomb Squad is responding, according to Ryan.

The scene is under the command of Deputy Fire Chief Chip Ryan and the crime is being investigated by the Arlington Police Department.
