Body Found Believed To Be Missing Arlington Man

A body found Sunday in the Fresh Pond area of Cambridge is believed to be that of a 63-year-old Arlington man, who was last seen in early December.

Police have tentatively identified the body as that of John J. Rosenberger based on items recovered at the scene, according to Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan. However, a positive identification is pending from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“This is a sad conclusion to Mr. Rosenberger’s disappearance and our sincere condolences go out to the Rosenberger family,” Ryan said in a statement.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to Rosenberg’s death.
