Arrests in Arlington: Sept. 4-10

There were eight arrests in Arlington from Tuesday, Sept. 4, to Monday, Sept. 10.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 10

Kyle W. Zimmermann, 20, of Nicod Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 11:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, on Nicod Street and charged with assault and battery and resisting arrest. Zimmermann allegedly pushed a woman to the ground during an argument and then shoved an officer while he was being arrested and continued to resist until he was brought to the ground.

Franklin Calix-Nunez, 36, of Annese Road, Chelsea, was arrested at about 12:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, on Summer Street and charged with larceny over $250 and trespassing. Calix-Nunez was allegedly caught stealing two objects from outside a Summer Street residence.

No arrests

Saturday, Sept. 8

Anthony J. Meyer, 19, of Community Road, Billerica, was arrested at about 1:39 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, on River Street and charged with operating under the influence (first offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a seatbelt violation. Meyer allegedly crashed a 2002 Ford Explorer into a tree on River Street and then failed field sobriety tests. His vehicle sustained heavy damage, but he was not injured in the crash, police said.

Friday, Sept. 7

Rita Harmon, 30, of Marathon Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 4:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, on Marathon Street and charged with assault and battery. Harmon allegedly assaulted a woman during an argument.

Michael P. Sullivan, 25, of Claflin Street, Belmont, was arrested at about 3:16 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, on Everett Street and charged with operating under the influence (first offense), speeding and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Sullivan was allegedly spotted by police driving 50 mph on Lake Street. He was then arrested after failing a field sobriety tests after he was stopped, police said. He refused a breathalyzer, according to police.

Thursday, Sept. 6

Isaac M. Majak, 31, of Gardner Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, on Gardner Street and charged with assault and battery and intimidating a witness. Majak allegedly punched a woman in the face during an argument, and then took a phone from her hand when she tried to call police and threw it against the wall.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

No arrests

Tuesday, Sept. 4

A juvenile was arrested at about 9:47 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, on an active court warrant.

John M. Rielly, 34, of Chandler Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 9:24 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, on Lake Street and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
