An Arlington man allegedly crashed a Toyota Camry into a utility pole in front of the East Arlington Walgreens Sunday night while driving drunk.
Todd E. Wood, 32, of Mountain Avenue, Arlington, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, and charged with operating under the influence (first offense) and an open container violation.
Wood had an open bottle of rum next to him and nine other empty alcohol bottles in his vehicle, according to police. He failed a field sobriety test at the scene, police said.
Wood suffered a laceration to his forehead, which was treated at the scene. His vehicle was totaled.
