Arlington Father’s Gun Seized After Confrontation with Stratton School Principal
The father was given a no-trespass order at the school and had his gun license suspended but has not been charged.
The father of a Stratton School student allegedly displayed his gun permit and said he had access to firearms during a confrontation with the school’s principal Wednesday, according to a Boston Globe report.
As a result of the incident, police had the father, 40-year-old Robert Goodwin, turn over his firearm, according to the report. Police also issued Goodwin a no-trespass order for the school and suspended his gun license. Goodwin has not been charged, however.
Stratton teachers told the Globe they were surprised to learn of the incident in a meeting Friday morning and not earlier. Parents also said they were disappointed the school never sent out a notice of the incident.
