Altercation in Ed Burns Arena Lobby

Two men reported each other to police Saturday after an altercation in the Ed Burns Arena Lobby at about 2:15 p.m. that afternoon.

The two men told police different stories.

One man contacted police at about 4:05 p.m. and told an officer that he was talking with the other man’s wife in the lobby when the other man “hip checked” him and began to swear at him in a loud voice.

Fifteen minutes later, the other man contacted police and said that the man who initially reported the incident had come up to him unprovoked and threatened to beat him up.

Both men were advised that they could file charges against the other in Cambridge District Court.
