No injuries were reported.

A two-alarm fire started in an Everett Street basement at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and traveled up a wall near the center of the house to the third floor, according to police.

The fire, at 67 Everett St. in East Arlington, was caused by faulty electrical wiring from either a space heater or refrigerator, according to an initial investigation. It caused extensive damage to the multi-family home, but no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, police said.
