17-Year-Old Breaking and Entering Suspect Caught by Residents

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old was allegedly caught in the act breaking into a truck on Churchill Avenue Wednesday night.

A resident allegedly spotted the teen breaking into his brother’s truck, questioned him and then chased him down with his brother when he began to flee. The resident and his brother then detained the teen until police arrived.

Police believe the teen also broke into another vehicle in the area.

The teen, who had two iPods, a prescription drug and some cash on him, was charged with breaking and entering at night for felony (two counts), receiving stolen property (two counts) and possession of a Class E drug.
