While most cyclists in Arlington are familiar with the Minuteman Bikeway, there are many other options in and around the Boston area. The Middlesex Fells Mountain Bike Loop can make you feel like you are in New Hampshire or Maine when in reality you're only seven or eight miles north of Boston. If you enjoy a more urban setting start your ride at City Square Park in Charlestown and you'll be surprised where it takes you.
Even Boston's mayor, Tom Menino is trying to make Boston a world-class bicycling city! With rising temperatures and gas prices this is an idea whose time has come.
