Restaurant Weeks in August

See what your favorite Arlington eatery is offering up.

Summer's bounty offers a whole gamut of goodies from fresh corn to sweet blueberries and crisp green beans to the first few raspberries. To reflect this cornucopia of deliciousness, Arlington's food scene is also full of life this time of year. Coming up this month is restaurant week where local chefs are preparing special prix fixe menus with some of this season's farm fresh goodies.

Plan your week and meals ahead and save the date for restaurant weeks which are Aug. 14-19 and Aug. 21-26.  Two course lunches will be offered for $15.11 and three course lunches for $20.11.  Three course dinners are $33.11.  Arlington's restaurants participating this year are:  , , , , , and .  Visit the Restaurant Week website for details regarding days and times that each restaurant will be participating.

Buon Vita's menu brings you oceanside with appetizers featuring a steamed mussels in a lemon broth, or a crispy calamari.  The sweet corn of the season is captured in a soft ravioli.  To finish off on a sweet note there is a classic Tiramisu or Cannolo Siciliano.

Ristorante Olivio contrast the sweet tart cherry tomatoes and fragrant basil of the season with a smoked buffalo mozzarella for their bruschetta.  A rigatoni pesto is a twist with a broccoli rabe pesto enveloping the rigatoni and complete with sea scallops.

Tango is celebrating summer with their Gazpacho.  Fresh summer herbs give a zing to their churrasco's chimichurri sauce.  As a finishing touch, fresh berries fill their dessert crepes which are then topped with chocolate sauce.

Tryst is headed to market for some great local lettuce for their market salad.  Their lunch is more a brunch which will be offered on Sundays and one Saturday with everything from a fruit parfait with house made granola or a Portuguese Sweet Bread French toast   to a breakfast pizza.

Flora will be offering their restaurant week menu for the entire month of August.  Just in case you can't squeeze in every restaurant in just two weeks.
