Municipal Employees Choose Cemetery over Mystic Street

Snapped these two photos today around 11:30AM.  The first shows an empty Mystic Street with plenty of on street parking within spitting distance of the police station.

Anyone who drives Mystic Street has observed that this is the slowest "gas main" replacement in world history.  For the past three Fridays, there has been no construction.  During the week, there is construction for about 5 hours a day, from 9am-2pm.  I'm sure the detail cops are happy being paid 8 hours for 5 hours of work and Fridays, if it rains, is a day off.

The second picture shows Sachem Ave, with 10+ private vehicles, all municipal employees parked in the cemetery.

The cops will tell you, they can't ignore the "no parking" signs on the barrels on Mystic St., but the "No Parking" signs in the cemetery, well those are optional.

Please, join the petition to end this disgraceful practice.
