Jim Hassler Files False Police Report

From the patch and police log:

Jim Hassler  "contacted police at about 4:05 p.m. and told an officer that he was talking with the other man’s wife in the lobby when the other man “hip checked” him and began to swear at him in a loud voice."

"Fifteen minutes later, the other man (me) contacted police and said that the man who initially reported the incident (Jim Hassler) had come up to him unprovoked and threatened to beat him up."

According to the police report, Hassler claimed I had "chest bumped" him, "hip checked" him and "started to say vulgarities in a loud tone of voice in the Ed Burns Arena lobby".  When questioned later, "Hassler denied that he ever approached Stephen or threatened him in any way."

Watch the video below from the ice rink's surveillance tapes.  You decide who is telling the truth and who filed a false police report.

Combined with the lies told by Michele Hassler to the police about the August meeting I attended, one can only imagine lying and calling the police to intimidate people is a Hassler family trait.  For another example of Hassler trying the tactic of confrontation and then making a complaint to the police, see this patch story from last summer.

Apparently, the Arlington police allow people to file false police reports and there is no consequences for the "victim".
