HELP DEFEAT DEVELOPERS' ATTEMPT TO EVADE FELLS ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

HELP DEFEAT DEVELOPERS' ATTEMPT TO EVADE FELLS ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

URGENT: Public Comments deadline is Tuesday, December 10 -- Please write today!

On November 14, the ‘Langwood Commons’ developers made their latest attempt to evade public review of environmental impacts to the Fells Reservation regarding their huge housing and office project.

In a ‘Request for Advisory Opinion,’ the Gutierrez and Simpson Housing companies have asked Environmental Affairs Secretary Richard K. Sullivan to remove state MEPA environmental review for the proposed project at the former hospital site.

This would mean that the public would be denied their right to review and comment on potential adverse public safety risks and excessive parkway alterations associated with the 4,500 new daily traffic trips the proposed project would generate.

This matter is now before the Environmental Affairs MEPA office. Your email or letter is urgently needed by December 10 to insist that MEPA Environmental Impact Review of the Langwood Commons project must be completed!

Please help! Take a moment to contact the MEPA office to demand that environmental review must be completed for the “Langwood Commons” development project in the Middlesex Fells Reservation. The public must have the right to review the developers' claim that the Fells parkways can handle a quantum leap in traffic without negative impacts to Fells visitors and neighboring communities.

The deadline for comments is Tuesday December 10. Please send your comments today!
