Conversations with Marty Walsh

This Sunday night, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. Boston mayoral candidate Marty Walsh will make a special guest appearance on Right Turn Radio.

Right Turn is a local nonprofit that provides an innovative program offering intensive outpatient treatment and supportive housing in a uniquely creative environment for addicts. The organization’s weekly radio show, Right Turn Radio, hosted by Woody Giessmann and Abby Dean airs on Boston’s Talk Station WRKO AM 680 every Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Right Turn Radio discusses several topics related to addiction, including drug and alcohol abuse, treatment options and support resources for addicts and their families. The show allows people with substance abuse issues, as well as those who know someone struggling, to listen and participate in a call-in format for information and advice on addiction and recovery options. This includes everything from fantasy sport addictions to alcohol dependency.

Marty Walsh will be on discussing his personal story and journey with alcoholism. This includes how his personal experience directly impacts his plans for treatment polices and funding in Boston.

Marty is in a neck and neck race for mayor with John Connolly. This is the first time in 20 years that current mayor Thomas Menino won’t be on the ballot. Boston is headed in a new direction – what do you have to say about it?
