Shea, a lifelong resident of Arlington, was involved in Town Government for 50 years.
William E. Shea, a lifelong resident of Arlington, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 24.
Beloved husband of Elaine M. (Fitzgerald) Shea. Loving father of William J. and wife Meg of Belmont, Michael and wife Jane of Reading, Taryn LaRaja and husband Ray of Amherst, Katlyn Schultz and husband Kip of Lincoln, Meghan Shea Phillips of Arlington and Kristen Donahue and husband Micah of Newburyport. Proud grandfather of Brigette, Elizabeth, Paul, Conor, Erin, Alex, Kathryn, Luca, Cameron, Phineas, Tea, Emma, Max and Lucy. Brother of Jane Sullivan. Also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in 1145 Massachusetts Ave., ARLINGTON, Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. and to a funeral mass on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in , Arlington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to meet directly at the church.

Bill was former President of Ames Envelope in Somerville, he served on the Board of Directors at The Salvation Army in Cambridge for 30 years and was active in Arlington Town Government for 50 years.
