Obituary: Phyllis M. (Canavan) Tatro

Phyllis Tatro, a lifelong Arlington resident, died Sunday, Oct. 14.

Phyllis M. (Canavan) Tatro, a lifelong Arlington resident, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. She was 91.

A graduate of Cambridge School of Nursing, she was a longtime nurse at Cambridge City Hospital.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Robert Tatro. Loving mother of Robert Jr. and his wife Susan of Enfield, Conn., and Mark of Providence, R.I. Devoted grandmother of Brian and his wife Sara, and Lori and her husband Maj. Dan Mazzone, US Army. Sister-in-law of Roland and Peg "Mabel" Tatro and the late Raymond, Ralph and Kay Tatro. Also survived by four great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Barbara, William, Warren and Robert Canavan.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt. 60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON, on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
