Obituary: Mildred 'Milly' Brown, 85, of Arlington

Mildred "Milly" O. (Hannafin) Brown, of Arlington, formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at the Winchester Nursing Center in Winchester on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at the age of 85.

Milly was born in Cambridge on Feb. 13, 1928, a daughter of the late George and Agnes (Ross) Hannafin. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick “Kenny” Brown. Loving mother of Patricia E. Grimes of Wilmington; Karen L. Dixon and her husband Robert of Vermont; and Kennan K. Brown and his wife Sharon of Arlington. Dear grandmother of Kyle K. Dixon, Jason P. Grimes and Olivia K. Brown. Great grandmother of Patrick A. Grimes and Kelsi M. Grimes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Milly was employed as an Executive Secretary at Arthur D. Little Company in Cambridge for over 25 years. Her loves were family, church, singing in the choir and spending time with friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, Feb. 14, from 4-7 p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Route 60, Arlington, and her funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. in the Trinity Baptist Church, 115 Mass. Ave., Arlington, MA 02474. Services will conclude with burial in the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge.
