Obituary: Mary Ronan, Longtime Arlington Town Meeting, Finance Committee Member

Mary I. (Cleary) Ronan, a longtime resident of Arlington and Hull, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Ronan. Loving mother of Mary Ronan of Washington D.C., Kathy SooHoo and her husband Victor of New York, Anne Ronan of California, Joan Ronan of Brookline, Frank Ronan and his wife Julie of New York, Margaret Stack and her husband Brian of Hingham, John Ronan and his wife Jana of Florida, Robert Ronan and his wife Nazanin of Mashpee, and Sarah Rasmussen and her husband Erik of Vermont. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Alex, Robert, Mark, Thomas, Charlie, Marykate, Daniel, Elizabeth, Robert, Ryan, Kyle and Jack. Devoted sister of Charles Cleary of Needham, and the late Kathleen, James and John Cleary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy ’41, and Emmanuel College ’45. She served as an active member of the Arlington Finance Committee and was a longtime Town Meeting Member.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at Saint Camillus’ Church, 1185 Concord Turnpike, in Arlington at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Route 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church), ARLINGTON, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
